These events are intended for healthcare professionals, business specialists, designers, engineers, and other problem-solvers who want to develop technological solutions for some of the biggest problems currently faced by the healthcare community.

 

By coming together for sessions of intense brainstorming and research, these dynamic and diverse groups present software or hardware solutions that would impact doctors, hospitals, medical staff and ultimately patients.

Banque du Liban (BDL) Accelerate 2016 has joined forces with Garage48 and HackingSurgery to organize the first HealthTech Hackathon on November 2, 3, 4 in Beirut, Lebanon. The hackathon was all about realizing ideas about IT apps or platforms that address the health & medical industry.

 We brought together 100+ physicians, coders, designers, marketing & business experts from around the world to build innovative and disruptive concepts. Teams worked for 48 hours and delivered a beta-prototype on the final day. 

The Winner of The BDL Accelerate 2016 HealthTech Hackathon, 'FacePhysio', was awarded a $10,000 Cash Prize to continue the development of their idea into a full working IT tool.
